Trust & safety
Everyone who messages, books or gets booked is verified. Here is exactly what we check and what we keep.
What each verification checks
Email, phone and identity are required before you can message, request a session or leave a review. Browsing is open to everyone.
Email
- You confirm a code sent to your email address.
What we keep: Your email address.
Phone
- You confirm a code texted to a US mobile number.
- One account per phone number.
What we keep: Your phone number. It's shared with the other party only once a booking is confirmed.
Identity
Earns the ID Verified badge
- A government photo ID is matched to a live selfie by our identity provider, Stripe Identity.
- The date of birth on the ID shows you're 18 or older.
What we keep: Only the result and Stripe's reference number. We never store ID images, your selfie or your date of birth.
Professional (optional, for pros)
Earns the Pro Verified badge
- Our team reviews verifiable credits (for example Discogs, AllMusic or streaming credits), a portfolio, or business details for studios.
- The badge can expire, and then it needs renewing.
What we keep: The links and details you submit for review.
Rules that keep it professional
No cold messages
A conversation can only start from a specific service or a booking request. Daily limits stop mass messaging.Contact details after booking
Emails, phone numbers and links in messages are hidden until a booking is confirmed. Studio addresses are shared the same way.Only pros are public
Pro profiles are public so you can find them. Client profiles are seen only by pros they're talking to.Two-way, double-blind reviews
Only after a completed booking. Neither side sees the other's review until both are in, or 14 days pass.Honest reviews stay up
Staff remove reviews that break the review policy, such as retaliation or private details, but never an honest negative review.Reports and blocks
Report a member, service, review or message. Moderators can suspend or ban, and every action is logged. Blocking hides you from each other.
Staying safe at a session
- Check the verification badge and reviews before you book.
- For in-person sessions, tell someone where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Use a talk-first call if you want to meet over video before an in-person session.
- If something feels wrong, leave and report it from the booking.
